ZCS Format:
The ZCS Tournament will be played in three Rounds.  The first two will be in a Round Robin Format, and the third Round will be a Single Elimination, best 3 out of 5.

Round 1
ZCS players will be randomly divided into brackets of between 12 and 16 players.  Public dice rolls will be used to randomly distribute the field into the brackets.  Each Player will play every player in their bracket a single 15-point match.
The top 32 players from Round 1 will advance to the Second Round and will be split evenly in two brackets.
The advancing players will be made up of the top 5 from each bracket, and the top 2 at large.  They will be determined in order by :

  2. Head to Head performance.
    1. First by the number of wins against all the other players in that tie,
    2. second, if necessary, by who won over the other player.
  3. Any remaining ties will be broken by an elimination or Round-Robin playoff.  The host and directors will determine which method is most appropriate to the situation.
Round 2
ZCS players will be randomly divided into two brackets of 16 players each.  Public dice rolls will be used to randomly distribute the field into the two brackets.  Each Player will play every player in their bracket a single 15-point match.
The top 4 players in each bracket will advance to Round 3.  The advancing players will be determined in order by :
  1. The number of accumulated wins in Round 2.
  2. Head to Head performance.
    1. First by the number of wins against all the other players in that tie,
    2. second, if necessary, by who won over the other player.
  3. Any remaining ties will be broken by an elimination or Round-Robin playoff.  The host and directors will determine which method is more appropriate to the situation.

Round 3 - Final Eight Elimination
The final eight will be seeded from first to fourth by :

  1. The weighted cumulative record (40% of Round 1 wins + 100% of the Round 2 wins).
  2. Random dice roll.

After the order is determined, the first four sets of matches will be determined as follows :

  • The First Seed will choose an opponent from those seeded 5th through 8th.
  • The Second Seed will choose an opponent from the remaining players seeded 5th through 8th.
