| Fall 2004 ZCS
Tournament Format The ZCS Tournament will be played in three Rounds. The first two will be in a Round Robin Format, and the third Round will be a Single Elimination, best 3 out of 5. Round 1 ZCS players will be randomly divided into brackets of
between 12 and 16 players. Public dice rolls will be used to
randomly distribute the field into the brackets. Each Player will play every
player in their bracket a single 15-point match.
Ties
will be resolved by reference to: ·
first by the number of wins against all the other
players in that tie, ·
second, if necessary, by head to head performance. Any
remaining ties will be broken by an elimination or Round-Robin
playoff. The Host and directors will determine which method is most
appropriate to the situation. Round 2 ZCS
players will be randomly divided into two brackets of 16 players
each. Public dice rolls will be used to randomly distribute the
field into the two brackets. Each
Player will play every player in their bracket a single 15-point
match.
Ties
will be resolved by reference to: ·
first by the number of wins against all the other
players in that tie, ·
second, if necessary, by head to head performance
(first in Round 2, then in Round 1 if necessary) ·
third, if necessary, by comparison of Round 1
cumulative record. Any

Normal tie-breaking rules will apply where necessary. Round 3 - Final Eight Elimination After
the order is determined, the first four sets of matches will be determined
as follows: The
First Seed will choose an opponent from those seeded 5th through 8th. The
Second Seed will choose an opponent from the remaining players seeded 5th
through 8th. The
Third Seed will do the same. The
Fourth Seed will play the remaining player. The
quarter-finals will be the best of five(5) 17-point matches. The
semi-finals will be the best of five(5) 19-point matches.
